CenturyLink Technology Center of Excellence
Yates is provided construction services for the CenturyLink Technology Center of Excellence facility. This project includes a three-story 250,000 SF technology center with research and development labs, offices, and meeting space; a three-story 40,000 SF mechanical plant; a five-story, 1,050-car pre-cast parking garage; and a two-acre courtyard with fountains and pools. The development labs are designed to Tier II data center classification standards with the ability to be converted to Tier III classification in the future. The facility accommodates approximately 800 employees and is LEED® Silver certified.
Sustainability was a priority throughout design and construction. One of the unique sustainable components of this project includes a green roof with a mixture of 28 varieties of slow-growing vegetation that bloom throughout the year. The facility also features Smart Building controls for mechanical and electrical systems and View Dynamic Glass intelligent windows.
